New link added!

Music blog! "Silent Shout" specializes in Canadian Electronic Indie Music. They seem to be really on their game and I am oh so excited to follow it! So far, it looks like they delve into the dark and gloomier side of electronic music.

Right now, I am listening to the album displayed on a recent post. It's by Home Alone, who I haven't listened to before, and it's really jelling with me on this dismal day.
From the TO :)

I like "Basements".

Seeing as free food is awesome and Ive spent 8 months away for 4 yrs... Gotta mush in as much country home lovin as possible.

Possibru.

Ya know what is great about selfies. Some day when I'm a wrinkled bit I will celebrate the golden years. Just wish people still took portraits for the sake of documentation as lovely as this...

My grammie was a stonecold Fox.
The quality of the original is baffling.

Waterwoohoo

So I found a place close to uptown, downtown? There's a Chapters and lots of food places, so I'm satisfied at least. I'm not even sure if Waterloo has a notable downtown, or if it does... it's weeeeak.

Here are the pics the gentleman subletting it to me sent:

Can you tell it's a dude's room? Stay tuned for redecorating.

Check my threads!

Not totally sure what the deal is with AC... I forgot.
There's a bikini chick above the desk -_-
Shit's comin down.

I may demand he leave his games.

That game of Operation was there when I toured.
Note the extra table for beer pong. Because you have to have one!

There's also a backyard! Like 1/8 of an acre, but I'm going to make a garden bed.
They have a trampoline. So happy, my parents threw ours out over a year ago. I wonder if I can still do some tricks. PROBABLY. o/\o

Moving my stuff this Saturday! Lord I am so tired of driving.

Warning - wounds

Crash landed my bike a couple weeks ago. I was studying all day, and decided to ride to the grocery store for a snack, when boom leaned into a turn on gravel.

Gravel, I am more afraid of you than ever before.

I fell off across from this small cement mixing plant down the street from my building, and this hunny working there offered to fix my wounds. So I limped over and got some peroxide and bandaids on my war wounds.

When I returned to my bike this older gentleman saw me struggling because my front tire wasn't moving. The darling got some pliers and sent me on his way. He said it was his anniversary. Lucky lady!

Pardon the imagery. They're not that scary to look at, but my knee is still like swollen.

Ah well.

Take it sleazy!

Time for some introspection

Thanks to my digital music prof supplying us with the questions for my exam on Thursday, I am relatively at ease. At least enough for a little aimless natter.

Last week, I had an interview with two ladies from the accessibility department of the Ontario gov. I recognized them from last year when it was me and three other candidates for this same job. It was my first interview this year.

I did have another one lined up for a GUN factory, which required me to drive four hours home. Incidentally, I put on a nice shirt, hairsprayed the shit out of my hair, and ditched last minute. I let the secretary know I had just received another offer. Instead, I hung out with H at the pub in cford, which also happens to serve the best dang coffee around. It absorbed the late Grind House (god bless her). I was late for my comics class, and forgot all about it.

So for these gov interviews you get ten minutes and printout of the questions they're gonna ask you. I jotted some points down, recycling some of last years and met my potential employers. I can't say it was my most articulate moment, but I pumped them with info. I left pretty sure I didn't care, whatever, it doesnt matter, I dont need no job! Peh, who'd want to work in Kitchener anyways.

Now, I'm happily corresponding with subletters in Waterloo, close to my cherubfaced ladyfriend. It seems if I want something affordable, I'm going to have to accept that I'll be living with randos. But that's okay, I'm all jazzed to meet new people and start over. I may not be living anywhere exotic, but I just want to shake off my history. Not that I hate my history, but I wasn't exactly living an authentic lifestyle in the social group I ascribed to for four years.

It's going to be a weird summer, two days in office, three days travelling around sw Ontario, and Monday/Tuesday off.

I pray to jebus that my partner is cool. PLEASE let her/him be awesome.

Been in sweats for so long, forgot how awesome it was to be
AWESOME.
But seriously, I'm so freaking relieved.

Extraordinary or bust

"She figured out a way to make her life more exciting just by imagining the things around her being charged with some kind of mystery and energy that’s possibly not actually there, but that she’s giving to them. She’s able to look at people on the street and imagine these huge, important stories about them and to create drama out of very small things in her life. And I think that’s kind of the best you can hope for when you’re stuck like she is."
-Daniel Clowes on Enid from Ghost World

I just like this.

""""""""""""""""

Ghost World friends

It's creepy how much I relate Enid and Becky to H and I.

I have a typically simple outfit on and H's wardrobe changes erratically.
Her collection of antiques and nick nacks rivals Enid's.
Enid and H are super cynical.
Becky's passive and indecisive... so am I.

We're all pretty big haters.
Lesbionic tendencies.
